We had a very interesting night in the
church on the 18th of June when one of the local fellowships, the Celtic
Prayer Centre, treated us to a typical Tanzanian meal! We partner with
them in a venture called the Tanzanian Education Project or TEP which
works as follows: The Tanzanian Education Project is a non- profit organization founded in June 2005 (registered charity no. CHY17563.) It aims to support the funding of Tanzanian school children by providing them with worthwhile, quality and in most cases life changing education. Each life changed has the potential to affect families and ultimately whole communities, so this is a good example of Christianity in action! Even though primary education is free in Tanzania, secondary education costs money which is where TEP comes into play to provide fees, uniforms, school books, materials and equipment, to pay for transport and higher - level courses and even pocket money for lunches! It operates on an annual per child sponsorship basis and further information is available on ww.tep.ie or email info@tep.ie |
